In Chinese smaller towns, the dream of striking it rich is palpable. To play off of this insight and connect it to the expertise within CAT that can lead to greater financial success, this tongue-in-cheek execution has fun with some stereotypes to entertain while propping up the CAT experts as everyone's potential hero.
Casting for these spots were done with an eye on both authentic characters you might find in rural China, but also having that look tie in with the kind of characters already excepted within certain comedy film genres. The actual casting was a combination of actors and real people, a few of whom turned out to be the actual heroes of the films.
