Fortune telling is obviously quite prevalent in Chinese culture. This film had some fun with expressing the point that you better count on real, solid expert advice when it comes to investing to heavy equipment.
Casting for these spots were done with an eye on both authentic characters you might find in rural China, but also having that look tie in with the kind of characters already excepted within certain comedy film genres. The actual casting was a combination of actors and real people, a few of whom turned out to be the actual heroes of the films.
