Celeb journey while clicking a Selfie: As soon as the celebs got to the kiosk, they saw a welcome note and had to click the POSE button, they saw a 3 second countdown so they could strike a whacky pose As soon as they saved their Selfies, we tweeted their pictures by tagging their official handles via our National Twitter Handle account We also tagged the fan clubs of the celebrities, to boost engagement Their selfies were showcased on a projector at the Red Carpet so that it could draw other celebs’ attention towards the kiosk and pose for us

10 million people on twitter were reached on the day of the event! 30 million impressions were generated. 455 tweets were generated with #MirchiSelfies We got 874 Retweets & 615 mentions on Twitter

The objective was to do something innovative and path-breaking in order to create maximum buzz and chatter for Mirchi Music Awards. Selfie fever had grabbed everyone’s attention; be it consumers or celebrities. We wanted to leverage this fever, get the celebs to click and candid photos from the red carpet and make them available online exclusively to the fans online. Clicking Selfies has become a fad in today’s age and we wanted to leverage the Selfie fever in order generate engagement not only from the celebrities who attended awards but the users engaging online. We created a swanky Selfie kiosk wherein celebs could pose, click their Selfies and we tweet their candid pictures LIVE from the Red Carpet of the Awards.
