CEL, the Centre for Enabled Living, exists to make Singapore a more inclusive society. By integrating disabled people into the mainstream. Disabled people live their lives on the fringes. The focus is always on the things that make them inadequate. All the things they can’t do. What if we focused on the things they can do? We found an inspiring example in Thomas Yong, a Paralympics bowling champion. A man who took up bowling after he became totally blind in an accident. It’s about celebrating ability. And it sometimes it shines through in the unlikeliest places.
