Poson is a season of religious observance in Sri Lanka celebrating the birth of Buddhism in the historic city of Anuradhapura. Each year thousands of pilgrims flock to the city to perform religious observances. The great lakes/tanks in the area often pose an irresistible lure to travelers (especially boys) who often make it a point to find secluded spots away from the crowds to enjoy a 'dip'. Bikes are a common mode of transport for visitors who often make the trip to Anuradhapura, for they are economical and enables them to travel the smaller by-roads around the tanks. Unfortunately these individuals are at high risk of drowning due to the very reasons stated above. The film focused on this group by highlighting the dangers faced by those not following safety regulations and bathing in secluded unsafe waters.
