The Navy needed recruits with an aptitude for Morse Code, Sonar Operation, Signal Jamming and Code Breaking. So we created an immersive game that taught them. Zero In, a global game of hide and seek, using Google Maps as the gameboard, and true-to-life Navy search and surveillance tools. In collaboration with Google, HTML5 Canvas was used to create a completely new satellite map interface, turning Google Maps into a live military game. Gamers trained in code breaking, military encryption and advanced cyphers. They operated underwater active sonar and used frequency spectrum analysers to jam enemy signals.
