Showing RAV4 as a car brand that offers "CRAZY" experiences, which drivers can immerse themselves into their passion. Under the belief that the curiosity is the best spice, our challenge was to make “the ultimate breakfast.” By fiercely shaken, raw milk turns into butter. Applying this principle, we presumed with RAV4 running on a bumpy, rough road at high speed, the milk would turn into butter. The breakfast eating at the top of the mountain, with the fresh butter made by RAV4, became “the ultimate breakfast”. Through this unprecedented "CRAZY" experience, we have tried to demonstrate not only that HEV RAV4 has high off-road maneuverability, but also it leads drivers to fully enjoy activities they are passionate about.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

Young people who don’t buy cars are increasing in Japan. TOYOTA gave RAV4 the mission to attract young generations. While competitors launch various SUV models into the market, our communication plan is designed to differentiate RAV4 from others, and draw young people’s attention. We have focused on, 1. Communicating “stories” behind the product, which resonates to the target audience. 2. Proving its high off-road maneuverability as a reliable, genuine SUV, while it is still the Hybrid Electric Vehicle, the current optimal solution from the sustainability perspective.
