Together with “Science” Magazine, Tencent has released a series of popular science video to encourage interactive learning through campus cinema. In order to cover remote regions in China where facility is not available, Tencent has traveled to the rural Northwestern part of China along with the “Science Caravan” and visited one school every week to play the video in our IMARS Cinema. The IMARS Cinema is an outdoor immersive experience, where we encourage the students to explore, ask questions about space, and find out the answers on Tencent’s popular science platform.
This story discusses if there is water on Mars. In order to invite students from the rural Northwestern part of China to join us, we have constructed a cinema on wheels, and visited 10 middle and elementary schools within 2 months. The cinema resembles the look of a space capsule creating an immersive rocket launching experience for the students. The video is projected on the glass window so the students can enjoy learning through the beauty of technology.
