Why is this work relevant for Media?

During Pandemic, social distancing happened in the capital city of Indonesia, but not in rural areas. Because the information regarding the virus is not attached to them. Indonesia, as the country with the most mosques in the world, has a very powerful medium to spread information and also symbolizes togetherness. Through mosque speaker or TOA, we bring valid information about Covid-19 closer & more understandable for people in rural areas.

Background

When Pandemic, social distancing and stay at home happened in the capital city of Indonesia, but not in suburban and rural areas.It's not that Indonesians living in Rural Areas are not afraid with the virus, But it’s just because the complete information is not attached and close to them. The challenge is to create the right message and medium for Rural areas in Indonesia.

Describe the creative idea / insights (30% of vote)

Through mosque speaker or TOA, we bring valid information about Covid-19 closer & more understandable for people in rural areas. We designed the information using Islamic verses to make it relevant with the situation & can be used by any mosques.

Describe the strategy (20% of vote)

Since ancient times, mosque loudspeaker or TOA has been used for various purposes, such as invitation for gathering, general information, condolences, and becoming a symbol of togetherness. Today, TOA is still the main medium for spreading information in rural areas. Togetherness has always become the motto and way of life for people who live in rural areas. Individual life is never a part of them, that is why it's difficult for them to follow government regulations such as social distancing and work from home. Therefore, we utilize TOA as a powerful medium to bring the complete information about covid-19 close to them, designed with specific Islamic verses and hadiths, to make it more relatable to the current situation.

Describe the execution (20% of vote)

Through TOA (Mosque Speaker), we bring the information for covid-19 more closer, more understandable. A powerful medium to spreading trusted & valid information to prevent covid-19 in rural areas. Every information carefully designed, with specific Islamic verses and hadiths, to make it more relatable to the current situation. We also provide downloadable audio files and Script that can be used by any mosque keepers. Even the Indonesia Ministry of Religion, support the campaign and asked all the mosque in Indonesia to using the mosque speaker to spread the message.
