Write a short summary of what happens in the film

The story revolves around two sisters. The little one, full of mischief, has just one mission in life – to pounce on her elder sister for a hug and a kiss (called Jhappi-Pappi in Hindi). This often irritates the elder one. But no matter what she does she just can’t escape her little sister. From morning to evening the little one darts around the sister, like a tracer missile. They are inseparable. But at one point, the little one sneezes and the mom has to physically pull her away from the elder sister – to prevent her from passing a possible infection. That is the point when the elder sister actually feels bad, and so does the viewer as we can’t see the little one separated from her darling sister. Lifebuoy makes a simple point- such painful interruptions are preventable between the most beautiful relationships.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

We never imagined a world where a simple hug or a kiss could induce worry instead of simply being a gesture of love. It took a pandemic for us all to realise the preciousness of close physical proximity with our loved ones. Nowadays, even a simple sneeze or a cough can pull us physically apart, a reality that becomes even more painful for the little ones. After all, kids won’t be kids if they can’t be hugged and kissed! Which is why, Lifebuoy released this special piece around International Children’s Day. The film is accompanied with a track that centres around the word Jhappi-Pappi (meaning Hugs and kisses). The phrase is a special term used especially in the context of kids to express love.
