A couple at a party snuggle together outside to enjoy the warmth of a Natural Gas fire pit. As they enjoy the fire, our voiceover says, ‘Natural Gas makes the fire that does more than instantly warm you. The atmosphere created by a blazing Natural Gas fire increases sociability and draws people together.’ Multiple sets of arms then reach forward to embrace the couple, one by one, until we see a group of eight people, all snuggled together in one big embrace. The people at the back have arms so long that they reach the front. Our film ends with our logo and our voiceover saying ‘Natural Gas. Once you’ve got it, you’ll get it’.
In Australia, gas prices have risen over the years, meaning that there are little rational benefits of choosing gas over other energy options available. At the same time, electricity powered appliances have become more efficient and have improved in features. This has meant that gas is no longer top of mind as an energy source in many Australian homes.
