We open with a seemingly happy picture of Shabi and his wife in one Bangka's beaches and slowly transforms to animation. Shabi recounts how they were apart because he needed to work in Jakarta while she needed to take care of her parents in Jakarta. Nevertheless, no matter the situations are, kid-loving Shabi always strives to be by her side: in the best of times when she found out that she was pregnant, and in the direst, when she's hospitalized. Once he found out about it, he rushed to the airport and immediately booked the earliest flight to Bangka. To catch the flight, he checked-in online en route to the airport. He arrived at the right time: when she needed his presence to face the fact that she had a miscarriage. The film transforms to live shoot with real Shabi, sharing the happy news that they are expecting.
For social-media loving Indonesians, travel photographs are important souvenirs that captured the memorable moment. But what about the moments that the camera didn't capture–moments that could've made the journey didn't happen? We used that as our starting point in developing this story: a seemingly normal photograph of Shabi and his wife in Bangka's many beaches, and as the film unfolds, we reveal the unforeseen circumstances behind it. Living the married life apart from one another to take care of one's parents is a reality among family-centric Indonesians. Jakarta's traffic is perpetually challenging every morning and the airport is far on the outskirts of the city, thus in a dire situation where every second of one's presence counts, it takes all the help one can muster to arrive in the right place, at the right time.
