Write a short summary of what happens in the film

This film tells the story of Ari, who recognising that his parents are struggling with their recent separation, does what he can to help. At his mum’s we see him brightening up the house with lights, taking the bins out, protecting her from the sun with a beach umbrella. After a slightly tense handover, Ari goes to spend the weekend with his dad. There he again shows his affection by reading a story to his father. A super explains, “If you’re going through a separation, there’s help.”

Cultural/Context information for the jury

This film was part of Westpac bank’s “Help” campaign. We focus on key financial moments which other banks are too afraid to confront, like divorce, an issue impacting over 50,000 Australians every year. Not only did the story break category conventions, it invited people to rethink banking by showing the importance of help in these moments. Working with research partners, we mapped the experience end-to-end, adjusting banker scripts, the language of phone banking, customer letters, even product names. Step-by-step guides and digital content hubs were developed to unpack the complex financial life moments.
