This film is really to introduce an all new flavour on the Nando’s Menu, a first for the world famous grilled chicken restaurant. However, instead of taking a traditional approach of just showcasing how tasty the finished dish looks, we decided to focus on the method as well as the ingredients as they are essentially the stars of the new flavour option. Through the film, audience are able to take on a magical ride on how their soon to be new favourite dish is painstakingly put together with finess as well as dedication and this is expressed by giving ‘life’ to each and every item that is in the dish and to show their extraordinariness we made each item to have mystical status worthy of any palette.

The film stayed through to its South African roots by making sure South Africa’s vibrant colours, unique heritage and the smoky flavor of open-fire cooking, the super-natural Smoky PERi-PERi is featured with substantial deliberation. The new dish delivers a full-bodied, rich flavor with sweet, smoky paprika, a hint of zesty lime, a delightful medley of herbs and of course a touch of Nando’s trademark African Birds Eye Chilli. All this combined gives it a unique smoky flavor reminiscent of a good barbecue. On the Nando’s PERi-ometer, Smoky PERi-PERi is slightly hotter than Lemon & Herb (which also contains the magical chilli incidentally) but milder than its Mild flavor. It’s perfect for those who like their food on the flavourful but not-too-hot side and brings a whole new dimension to the Nando’s chicken flavor range.
