Why is this work relevant for Entertainment?

So as not to unidirectionally send information to visitors, we built a space based on the theme of "fun communication" with the latest technology using sound, video, models and projection on the floor.

Background

The exhibition facility of the factory tour course at Suntory Kyoto Brewery is designed to show visitors the passion and commitment of beer brewers in beer making and to encourage them to become a fan of Suntory beer.

Describe the creative idea

By focusing on the thoughts of beer brewers (= Words) such as "Making the world's best beer" and "Pursuit of deliciousness does not end," a story is created; 'Words' are displayed in the signage at the beginning, flow to the floor, move forward with dynamic movements, flow into a model that looks like a beer can, then gradually poured with beer and piled up, and finally the visual of The Premium Malt's package is displayed to complete the story. Thus, we have tried to visualize the passion of beer brewers and to fully express the view of the world and brand of The Premium Malt's.

Targets are factory tour participants like families, students, children, tourists, inbound visitors, business users, etc.

Describe the execution

In the long and narrow tour pathway of the Kyoto Brewery visit, a three-dimensional exhibition facility is built to appeal to the five senses of sight, hearing, etc., by making full use of two monoliths using 4 vertical signages, floor projection using 4 projectors, projection mapping to a 1700 mm high 3D model using one projector and other audio, and PC-related equipment. Action: Planning, design, producing fixtures, construction, video content production, system development, sourcing and installation of video equipment. Timeline: October, 2018 - Start of planning and design, March, 2019 - Start of on-site construction, April, 2019 - Opening of exhibition facilities. Location: 3-1-1, Choshi, Nagaokakyo, Kyoto 617-0844 Japan Scale: about 24 m long

Describe the outcome

Comments from visitors: ・ The production that cans are filled and completed with the video and thought, is wonderful. ・The area produced by the monitor and projector (= projection mapping) is good. Comments from the customer: ・ Various tools such as pictures, sound, language and etc. have helped to well convey the thoughts of the brewers. ・The commitment in making “The Premium Malt's” and the passion of the brewers are now conveyed in a more attractive way and with pleasure. ・ As many photos are being posted on SNS, the exhibition facility is now one of the highlights of the factory tour.
