Background

Shiga Art School is a community based art school in Shiga, teaching creative expression to all ages from children to senior citizens. We designed the promotional posters for the art exhibition featuring students’ works. The theme of the exhibition is “Flowers in masterpieces”. The graphic design of the poster expresses the point of view in which we observe and analyze flowers.

We presented the mysterious ecology of flowers using schematic diagrams that could appear in pictorial books. With the bold layouts and fluorescent inks, we vividly expressed the microscopic world of flowers such as pistil, stamen and pollen.

List the results (20% of vote)

The exhibition has marked its 9th years. As the venue located inside the university premise, the visitors were varied in age, from students to elderlies. The event became the annual art event welcoming many returning visitors and the numbers has been growing every year.
