The Campaign

Our mission was to create the original composition to all four seasons films. each composition needed to be unique of it's own but somehow related to each other. most of the scene from films features natures such as beautiful landscape of Tohoku, we wanted to keep the instrumentals as organic as possible.

Creative Execution

the project started at November 2016. we had first meeting with the Director. Mr. Yuki Eikawa just finished shooting footage for "Autumn" film. we ware briefed the whole concept of the campaign and start working with him for next year of making all seasonal films. we finally completed the whole series by publishing "Summer" film on youtube Oct 2017.

3 out of 4 main films (we have 28 films total) hit more than 10 million views each on youtube. between 4 main films, we hit more than 42.6 million views total and the number is still growing. it was featured in TV programs such as NHK japan and introduced as one of the most viewed inbound films on youtube. the campaign received jury special award in Tourism Expo Japan 2017.

We have composed the original music for each films featuring four seasons of Tohoku Japan. Each films features unique sceneries of beauty over the changing season without any voice over. each music take a important role as supporting the uniqueness of each films. although each compositions are different from each other, we kept the tonality and melodic motif close enough so they can feel all related to each other.

We wanted to keep the concept pretty simple. no narrations or written world throughout the entire films. just the music with stunning drone footage of natures and interesting culture of Tohoku. on Youtube, you can turn on the subtitles and it will display the shooting location.
