The number of accidents have tripled in the past 3 years. We have developed a new approach making it into something that we are already used to carrying it around - lunchbox, therefore we can decrease the number of accidents and save lives.
LifeLineLunchBox is an IOT lunch/bento box that you can register for online and receive at the mountain base. The lunch box contains a (dedicated) LWPA wireless module including a GPS sensor and battery so that just by walking around with the box, it is able to send its location information in real time. It is also packed with a handmade meal. By pressing the button once, it signals when it is "lunch time", and by pressing the button repeatedly, it sends a "SOS" signal in case of an emergency.
We have prepared a special lunchbox, which can be easily carried around, for the increasing number of foreign tourists who enjoy outdoor activities. By putting local gourmet inside a lunchbox that is embedded with the latest technology, the lunchbox is designed to change the negative and unpleasant topic of accident safety measures into a positive experience that people would want to actually use. In 6 months, we calculated over 400 users had underwent this experience, and we collected over 35,000 points of information data. At the beginning of the season, we started at 1 location, but by the end of the season we expanded to 13 locations. Through media, this idea has reached both domestic and international tourists.
Marrying our cutting-edge technology with an item that everyone loves, we created an innovating travel companion that will keep you safe and well fed. LifeLineLunchBox is a completely new approach on safety in the mountains. LPWA is an energy efficient wide range transmission system, that can have a range of 100~200km in the mountains where there is no cellphone signals. We have collaborated Japanese delicious lunchbox with LPWA to make GPS device a necessity.
