“Don’t Believe In Never: Dema and the Bankstown Bull Sharks” tells the story of an Australian Muslim family coming to terms with their daughter’s desire to play Australian Football. Dema is both an Aussie who deserves to have a go, and her father’s precious diamond needing to be protected. As she ultimately gains her father’s consent and then support, we see the positive effect of sport and its ability to transcend culture and boundaries, inspiring people and bringing them together.
