The Campaign

By simply redesigning these prayer stickers to include a simple yet visible red line above the prayer line, we gave the stickers a practical function on top of their original purpose of faith, effectively helping drivers to measure and keep a safe distance.

Creative Execution

By simply distributing the sticker to each policy holder, a total of 125,000 policy holders managed to have the sticker sensor on their windshields for free. No fancy installations or costly modifications required. 125,000 drivers received the sticker for free.

Results

125,000 drivers received the sticker for free. Awareness of the dangers of tailgating increased significantly. 23% increase in the likelihood of reducing road accidents. Policy holders who received the sticker were more alert while driving with a visible reminder in plain sight at all times while driving.

RHB wanted to provide a solution for the increasingly common and worrying trend of preventable road accidents in Malaysia. The idea leveraged on a simple yet effective and practical redesign of an existing day-to-day item that most Malaysian Muslim drivers were already utilising - car prayer stickers. The Sensor Sticker was distributed to 125,000 insurance policy holders free of charge, providing them with a practical and efficient reminder for them to keep a safe distance while driving.

RHB Bank had a ready pool of Malaysian Muslim policy holders that could benefit from the sticker. Drivers who received the sticker mostly owned cars that were older or less-technologically advanced – cars that did not have front sensors installed. The sticker provided these drivers with a simple yet effective gauge that kept them safe and alert while driving.
