The Creative idea was to create a memorable and very emotional piece that would tug at the heart strings.
This was a process over a couple of months because the music production started well before the film was shot. So the film and edit were really created around the idea and pacing of the music track.
SUCCESS! Millions of Youtube/Social Media hits engaging people across Japan and the world. This was a controversial film as kissing is not something that is normally shown on Japanese TV. So it also created some controversy.
This film centered around the creation of the song. Creating a song that would captivate you and draw the viewer into the film. We worked with American Idol winner Haley Reinhardt to create a song that would be memorable, heartfelt, warm, emotional and engaging. Millions of views on YouTube and hundreds of thousands asking where they can buy the song. It turned into an effective brand piece and turned heads all over Japan.
We went through over a dozen original music ideas before landing on this theme and melody. Once we created it we all knew we had something special and worked to develop the idea in a simple yet emotional way.
