VOICE-OVER:
PRETTY WOMAN tells the story of a down-on-her-luck working girl whose fortunes change in an unexpected encounter.
Turns out, love can be found in the most unlikely places.
“Let’s take a ride in my carriage,” he says, tipping his dandy hat. She proves quite delightful, though not well bred.
“Why, by jove, that’s it! I shall make her genteel.” He declares.
Adorned with dearest damask and lace finest, his gaze becomes one of high adoration.
Her alabaster countenance cannot but flush with the hue of spring’s red clover. Oh, she is as coy as a sparrow until he makes his intentions known, albeit with unwitting condescension.
Her love wilts, wiltingly.
But in the ponderings of pipe smoking solitude he finds his error lit as if by roaring hearth.
“Oh glorious orb of my affections, the smog of pride has lifted.” he says, sealing with violet sweetness the tale of PYGMALION.
