THE CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE RETURN OF THE MARCOSES TO MALACANANG OR CARMMA
Script In English:

44 years ago, if someone caught you listening to this radio ad, you would have been killed.
Just like Rizalina Ilagan, 23 years old. A student writer spoke up against dictator Ferdinand Marcos. She was abducted along with her colleagues. Two of whom were found dead in a ravine.
One day, she wrote to me saying she needed help. But on the day of our meeting, she didn’t show up.
I never saw her again.
She was my sister.
During Martial Law, speaking up was a death sentence. So was being informed.
On World Press Freedom Day, may we be reminded to never take our freedom for granted.
I am Bonifacio Ilagan, a Martial Law survivor and a member of CARMMA, Campaign Against the Return of the Marcoses to Malacañang.
