The Campaign

We wanted to show how to enjoy Sushi the best way, by showcasing the manners and customs of eating Sushi in Japan. Additionally, we wanted to explain the history and making of Japanese Sushi, that many people don't know about, in order to further educate on the topic.

Creative Execution

The explainer video was primarily uploaded to YouTube and then shared on social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter in order to be shared as widely as possible and educate Sushi-Lovers worldwide, as well as increase our company branding and recognizability.

The video remains one of the most popular and most viewed on our channel of educational videos, with generally positive reactions from viewers. Furthermore, it was awarded the title of Official Honoree in the category "Online Film - Food" during the Webby Awards 2017.

We are specialized in creating explainer videos in our signature black and white style, which easily explain a topic to a broad target audience. We chose to create a clip concerning the rules and manners of Sushi in collaboration with our Team in Japan, because it is a topic of interest for many people internationally, but requires input from experts in Japan in order to be explained properly. We chose English as the language to develop this clip in order to reach as many people internationally as possible. Furthermore, the sushi chef of the prestigious and popular Japanese sushi restaurant Sushi Yuu, located in Tokyo, is creating sushi in front of the camera, which further raises the bar for the accuracy of the information.
