Snapchat, a mobile app, has generated a solid following among Filipino youth. Banking on the app’s growth, Smart, the country’s leading telecom provider, partnered with Snapchat to launch a promo that encouraged more subscribers to us it. To create awareness for the partnership, an online film was made using the feature they liked most about the app—the filters. The film was shot on an iPhone, with the actual Snapchat app. By recreating the real Snapchat experience, the film became as engaging as the app itself, with over 1M views on the first day alone.
