The Campaign

We begin the revolution with the textbooks. With more abundant aesthetic experience, textbooks were deliberately designed with each different painting, visual composition, colors, and interactions in different lessons. We wonder whether it is possible that one day, these school “textbooks” can be transformed into “art museums” put in kids’ school packs. Textbooks, only 1% of the cost of an art gallery, lead to 100 times the visiting hours and attain more ten thousand. In this case, for not adding children’s more learning burdens, teachers can inspire children’s aesthetic sense.

Creative Execution

Aesthetic textbook team has collaborated with five famous designer, these three years, we’ve distributed over 10,000 textbooks used by around 200 elementary schools. Furthermore, after teachers’ teaching experiment with our textbooks, we adopt their advice and make them much more pragmatic. Getting so much help from teachers, our designed textbooks let students study Chinese, English, math, science, and society with ease and they will get more involved in class.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

After teachers’ teaching experiment with our textbooks, the questionnaires showed 94% of satisfaction, 95% of teachers agreeing aesthetic textbooks raising children’s learning interests, 82% of teachers also agreeing aesthetic textbooks teaching efficiency, and even 94% of teachers stating textbooks’ design as one of indicators of selecting textbooks. Aesthetic Textbook team has been invited to the biggest creative education exhibit, Za Share two years in a row. In the past three years, Facebook fanpage of Aesthetic Textbook Project reached the number of 12000 post sharing in total and 2 million views. Over 150 articles have been contributed by Taiwan’s media. To expand the influence, aesthetic textbook team has collaborated with two major publishing houses and promoted the revision of Taiwan’s educational regulations. The result will be expected to produce the effect on more than half of students in Taiwan.

Through online fundraising, Aesthetic Textbook Project garnered the support from over a crowd of 3000, raised nearly 5.6 million NT dollars. and was invited to TEDxTaipei for experience sharing. The TED video was the TOP 10 videos in 2015.
