The Singapore Girl, the iconic face of the brand, brings viewers on a journey through Singapore, while demonstrating important safety features.
Because we were shooting over a number of days and across multiple locations at different times of day, it was important that the film have a cohesive look. We achieved this through a grading of blue and gold - the brand colours. We also employed anamorphic lenses to give the film a grand, cinematic look. Props (like the traditional Peranakan chairs and the wooden bench at the bridge) were repurposed or built from scratch to ensure they blended in with their surroundings and looked authentic, while allowing us to demonstrate important safety features. The Haji Lane scene actually took place at two separate locations, as space was limited at the original site. The large scale mural wall was faithfully reconstructed at a second site, and the oxygen mask scene took place against it.
