Brief Explanation

The film begins with our hero absorbed in his phone as he walks home in a whole city doing the same. On his way, he walks past dozens of people but nobody even acknowledges each other. In his apartment, his roommates are also individually absorbed. Our hero notices a scrap of paper stuck to his foot and reads it. It says ‘ME’. As he turns it over we see it now says ‘WE’. Suddenly the whole place springs to life. Things around him turn into candy and chocolate and he celebrates with his roommates. Walls dissolve and he embraces his neighbours. Eventually the whole building dissolves. Its residents embrace and together, they trampoline our hero into space, where he greets an astronaut. He lands in another, similarly self-obsessed city, where the ME-WE scrap gets stuck to another man’s foot. Now our hero smiles as the process of reinvigoration starts anew.
