In this film a man collapses on the sidewalk of a busy Auckland street clutching at his chest clearly in pain. Over 25 minutes of filming around 100 people walked by with the opportunity to help but only 21 did. The scenario was selected based on the Police priorities for 2016/17. The New Zealand Police sought out help affect key issues prevalent in New Zealand communities particularly At-risk Youth, Mental Health, Drink Driving and Family Violence. Given these issues are also widely discussed in the media we focused on scenarios which would resonate contextually with society today, to test to see if New Zealanders would actually intervene when faced with them in reality.
