Imagine an interactive system where customers within a dealership can intuitively browse in real-time any vehicle, from any camera angle, in any colour, with any available grade or accessory, regardless of dealership space and inventory restrictions. Where they can view the vehicle of their choice in different environments – be it urban cityscape or rugged terrain. Imagine the system inviting customers to peel back the skin of the vehicle to explore dynamic information around safety, performance, technology and design in a way never experienced before - assisting salespeople to keep up-to-date with the ever-growing variety and complexity of vehicle technology. Imagine a customer’s surprise as they’re able to play videos and watch their vehicle in full driving mode; then when ready, receive a personalised eBrochure to share with friends and family. Imagine a system that transcends any online customer experience achievable at home whilst complementing sales staff’s processes and skills.
Introducing “Toyota Showroom 360” – an interactive real-time vehicle configuration and discovery tool. It brings Toyota’s range to life, empowering customers with the tools to personalise and explore 78,000+ vehicle and accessory combinations. It cost-effectively overcomes the physical limitations of showrooms and the ever-growing size of Toyota’s range. It is robust, scalable and intuitive - requiring minimal training. This solution is the first of its kind in Australia (and one of the first in the world) to be effectively scaled to a national Dealership network, with units now available in every Toyota showroom. Representing Toyota’s entire vehicle range, Showroom 360 has integrated seamlessly into dealer sales processes, improved the showroom experience and set the benchmark for scalable personalisation in the global automotive industry. Driven by a complex CAD library and custom-built back-end software, the system guarantees product accuracy and detail. Clever middleware leverages AAA gaming technology to deliver beautiful real-time visual fidelity at industry leading speeds. It comes packaged within a custom-made Toyota brand compliant presentation stand that features an illuminated light box backing for displaying additional marketing collateral. Each unit presents a 70-inch multi-touch screen with inbuilt audio and an immersive graphic user interface for easy explanations of key technology and design features. A single managed network ensures vehicle information is updated remotely, instantly and with zero inconvenience; whilst enabling announcements to be delivered ‘live to air.’ The integrated backend allows real-time inventory and customer data to be fed into the Dealer Management System for complete accuracy and greater business insight. From conception through to development, procurement, deployment and post activation support – every stage was managed in-house. In August 2015, a nationwide rollout occurred to 270+ locations during a 6-month period. Enhancements remain ongoing with the latest being in May - boosting performance, load times and visual quality.
