The Campaign

Everyone suffers from financial anxiety. Thankfully we had the cure. Our idea? Ed, the anxiety-busting banking school. Dry financial lessons were out. Punning piglets and eggs with legs were in. Together, 7.5hrs of content and 300+ icons were storyboarded into 30, anxiety-busting, money learning modules. Nothing beats anxiety like a few laughs, so we launched the money school of light relief. All made possible by the only bank with the guts to go nuts, ME. We trained two puntastic piglets, 3D modelled eggs with legs and handcrafted 300+ icons into 30, anxiety-busting money learning modules.

Creative Execution

30 fun filled nuggets of learning: Using our puntastic piglet Einswine, we developed 30 bespoke online learning modules and intricate storyboards for more than 7.5 hours worth of online video content. Each module taught students about a different facet of financial knowledge that debunks bank blah and money mumbo jumbo covering; different types of home loans, banking jargon and tips on budgeting to name just a few. An icon factory that handcrafted over 300+ icons: Each individual learning module involved the creation of bespoke hand crafted icons that were used to egg-ucate ME’s stressed out students. 3D models and eggs with legs: Working with our collaborative retouching partner, Limehouse Creative, we developed and crafted bespoke 3D models which involved dancing eggs with legs, pan sizzling logo and food animations.

Target Audience: Financially fried Aussie online bankers. Studies show 73% of Australians live under a cloud of financial anxiety… they’re stressed out by bills…by expenses…by living. So what could a bank do to crack the problem? The insight: From financial fat cats to worker bees, everyone suffers from financial anxiety but nothing beats anxiety like a few laughs. The strategy: We positioned Ed as the anxiety-busting online money school, potentially the silliest in banking history. All made possible by the only bank with the guts to go nuts, ME. By creating something bespoke and true to the recently launched ME brand, we had the ability to school our target audience in a way that they have never been schooled before.
