English Translation of Main Headlines

This is an epic tale of people so encumbered by the misery of their hayfever that they would gladly hop aboard a spaceship bound for Mars. Whereas if they had known about Nasonex Allergy, they would have realised that they didn't have to go anywhere, and could have stayed here and enjoyed their home planet. The film is set up as a pastiche of the classic science and nature channel documentary promo. It builds a strong sense of what’s-out-there wonderment and epic space travel drama only to pull the rug out from under the viewer by suddenly turning into a comic story about sniffling, itching hayfever sufferers who are willing to leave Earth to escape their plight. At the moment all things space are currency. The recent exposition of Pluto, the discovery of Kepler 452B etc.. have kept the interplanetary front of mind in Australia and the rest of the world. People are excited about space again. With so much space exploration contributing to the zeitgeist, it made sense that an ad that taps into space in the light-hearted and comical way that this spot does would be well received. Pre-production research bore this out in spades.
