The central idea of the film is how all our lives are connected to each other because of our stories, our desires, our joys and our ‘wishes’ & how the presence of Flipkart brand that is ‘felt’ in this chain. The film uses the most unconventional means of storytelling – myriad forms of photography – which takes the viewer on a journey from Ooty to the hills of Himachal Pradesh. The essence of the film lies in bringing to light the unseen, unheard connections we share with each other.
The stills treatment of the film & the story told by the VO made music the backbone spot, acting as a third layer so as to help facilitate the storytelling. The attempt was to create a sonic identity which will hope to make the track memorable for the viewer. Whether through lyric or speech, the narrative has to find it’s support in the music. The challenge was not to make the music very heavy in terms of arrangement so it overpowers the narration, but at the same time it make it groovy which will give a platform for the narration. As a reference for style of musical narration, we suggest Baz Lurhmann’s ‘Sunscreen’ song or Jim Morrison’s ‘The Ghost song’ to the music director.
