Brief Explanation

Pru Life UK has had a long association with the Bantayan island. It is a remote island in the Philippines which was devastated by Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. Since then, the company has actively helped to rehabilitate the people of Bantayan by sending volunteers to build houses and boats and providing aid. The people of this island are some of the biggest supporters of Manny Pacquaio but with no electricity on the island and few pay-per-view connections, they had no way to watch the match live. The film documents how Pru Life UK brought the match live to them by bringing in generators and satellite equipment. Unlike other sports, boxing has no one way of showing allegiance to your icon. Taking a piece of our brand identity (Lady Prudence in the Pru Life logo also wears a red bandana), we produced and distributed 100,000 ‘Go Manny’ red bandanas. We asked people to show their support for these Filipino fighters by posting a photo wearing the bandana. This is a story about Filipinos supporting the fighters on Bantayan and the film documents the united strength and resilience of the Filipino people.
