Brief Explanation

“Different Times, Same Love” is a story of a young mom, her own mother, and her daughter, and what happens when grandma babysits for the first time. We follow the day of this grandmother-granddaughter pair and see how they squabble. The granddaughter wants to it mommy’s way, while grandma wants to do it her way. They struggle to see eye to eye with almost everything – meals, playtime, and even wardrobe. In the end, the mother comes home and witnesses an argument between her mom and her daughter. Embarrassed, she apologizes to her own mom, because she feels that her daughter’s behavior is a reflection of her as a parent. But just as we expect more conflict, the story takes an uplifting twist. The grandmother says that despite the struggle, she actually had a great day with her granddaughter. We then see scenes of the pair bonding and having fun throughout the day. “She’s just like you”, reassures the grandmother, in an ending that leads us to the heart of the film --- times may change, but a mother’s love stays the same.
