Brief Explanation

The commercial opens on a young man (Martin) sitting with a friend at gourmet restaurant - all shot in slow motion. We then cut between Martin and an approaching waitress. All the while, the voice over talks about the fact that martin is more of the “not so fast food” type, and prefers gourmet restaurants where his meal is delivered to his table. So naturally he would never see himself in a McDonald’s restaurant. At this point we see the waitress arrive at Martin’s table and we finally get to see a delicious-looking gourmet burger which is placed in front of him. As Martin picks up the burger and looks at in wonder, he catches a glimpse of his reflection in the restaurant window. He turns to look at it and gives a small smirk. The camera then pulls out revealing that Martin is sitting in a McDonald’s restaurant, the last place he’d ever thought he’d see himself eating. The voice over says, “There’s one more thing he never dreamt he’d see at mcDonald’s. Himself. Introducing Create Your Taste. How very Un McDonald’s."
