Brief Explanation

To create a name card that would be an instant conversation starter as well as a talking point, and one that clients and partners can instantly recall.

The Brief

3-Sixty Brand Communications is a boutique advertising agency that is now into its 13th year. Major clients (past and present) include the Singapore Police Force, Singapore Kindness Movement, Volvo, Toyota, IKEA, and Suntec City. 3-Sixty prides itself on its all-round approach which treats each brief as more than just an advertising endeavour, but a chance to reach the consumer in the most creative and effective ways as possible.

How the final design was conceived

The name card is one of the first opportunities for someone to make an impression on another. But it is also a prime opportunity to express what the company is about and lead prospective clients or partners to formulate positive first impressions of the company, independent of whose name was on it. Our name card was designed to showcase multiple facets of the company – from using bright colours (to project a sense of fun) to making it an odd shape (half rounded, half sharp to convey unconventionality). Central to the entire design, however, was an inbuilt kaleidoscope – a die-cut, rotating layer that changed the look of the name card as it was turned. It was a device that not only added interactivity to the name card, but also conveyed three important values: - The company name (3-Sixty) and tagline (An All-Round Approach) - Our multi-angle, multi-perspective approach to creative problems - Our penchant for creating surprise

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

3-Sixty’s image was greatly revitalised. The new name cards were greatly received by clients and associates alike, and directly led to at least 3 new business opportunities.
