We choose WeChat, a one-on-one real-time text communication service, and combined it with Nike+ Running App. Runners can text Runmate on WeChat anytime and check how many miles they have finished in whole training program. Meanwhile, Runmate will keep company with runners by sending encouraging messages and providing practical skills through WeChat in three-month training program.

Totaled 7,500 female runners joined this first half marathon for women in Taiwan marathon history, almost 90% of participants have finished the run. We provide emotional support as her best companion through Runmate and successfully helped girls finish their first marathon.

We found that “the feeling of being accompanied” is what Taiwan female runners need the most during training. So we created a one-on-one communication service called “Runmate, ” which means a very trustworthy partner who will keep company with runners while they are undergoing tough training program.
