55% of Filipinos can't afford medicines. Maynilad, a company that provides clean water to the Philippine capital, wanted to address this. It came out with an alternative medicine kit containing natural ingredients that cure ailments once mixed with clean water. As the effort underscored the benefit of clean water, it certainly was a way for client to promote itself. Because the World Health Organization doesn't monitor the rise or fall of common ailments, results are impossible to get. The kit however was distributed to thousands of Filipinos. The effort also found spotlight in media, as it was extensively covered.
The goal of the campaign was to provide affordable medication to Filipinos, Maynilad customers in particular. This way, the company would also be able to promote itself.
The effort was rolled out in various communities in the Philippine capital populated by Maynilad consumers. As the idea is powered by clean water, the effort was a way for client to promote itself.
Because groups like the World Health Organization don't monitor the rise or fall of cases of common ailments, results are impossible to get. The kit however, was covered extensively by media. Costing only a few dollars, it was given away for free. Teaching Filipinos something that will benefit them for life: that with things that can be found in any household, they can cure their ailments inexpensively. They just have to add clean water.
To help impoverished Filipinos, Maynilad - a company that supplies clean water to the Philippine capital - held events to give away alternative medicine kits to thousands of its underprivileged customers, demonstrating the power of clean water. Inside these kits were tea bags, which contain natural ingredients, indicating the ailments they help cure. Just add water - and its healing power is unleashed. (All one has to do next is to drink, gargle or apply the solution on skin to get relief.)
