Brief Explanation

Imaging has become almost disposable these days with the rise of Instagram, etc. Or, worse still, it is locked away on a hard drive and forgotten about. Canon wants people to join them on a creative journey, a digital experience where people can do much more than just capture images. Canon encourages and enables people to capture, manage and create. This film celebrates the fact that 'No one sees it like you' and calls on the viewer to begin their imaging journey at canon.com.au

Creative Execution

Working together with director Rey Carlson of Playbig Film and Leo Burnett Sydney, Alt were excited to explore new territory with this emotive spot for Canon. Exploring the tag line "No one sees it like you", the film features a montage of beautifully filmed eyes, reflecting different environments emotions and scenarios. Shot almost entirely as separate elements, the eyes and the reflection plates were composited seamlessly together in Flame. Alt It was a true collaboration: VFX Supervisor Urs Furrer worked closely with production team who went to great lengths in mimicking the reflected environments. This enabled the director to elicit subtle yet emotive performances which were then crafted in post.
