Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the most anticipated celebration for Muslims everywhere, a time when families – near and far - get together, seek forgiveness and indulge in festive home cooked food. Traditions, life lessons and family values are the center point of this years PETRONAS Raya web film. ‘Ke Pangkuan Bonda’ (translates as “Into your mother’s arms”) portrays the ‘home’ as the heart of who we are today, the place that shapes and defines us. It’s a simple story about the values we learn from our parents and the values we pass on to our children. These family values are what we celebrate in the PETRONAS Raya web film for 2014. Executed through one fluid camera move across different parts of their home, this was achieved with a motion control camera and specialists from the UK. The planning and setting up of the motion control camera took almost 2 weeks before the actual production. Paired with ‘Suasana Hari Raya’ as the soundtrack to the webfilm, this timeless lagu Raya has been rescored with a ukulele and traditional music instruments for a fresh new spin.
