The cost of medicine in the Philippines is higher by up to 70% compared to other countries in Asia. 55% of Filipinos can't afford medicines. The objective of the campaign was to be able to offer an alternative and more affordable means of medication using clean water, thereby promoting client Maynilad as this is the service it provides Filipinos.
An active ingredient of all the cures is clean water - the very product Maynilad supplies the Philippine capital.
To help impoverished Filipinos, Maynilad – the company that supplies clean water to the Philippine capital – went on-ground and gave away an alternative medicine kit to thousands of Filipinos, demonstrating the power of clean water. After all, science has confirmed the effectiveness of century-old remedies that use clean water to end stomach pains, relieve skin eruptions, soothe sore throat and gum pain, heal cough, and cure diarrhea.
Because the groups like World Health Organization don't monitor the rise or fall of cases of common ailments, results are impossible to get. The kit was covered, however, by media, online print and broadcast among them. Given away for free, the Maynilad medicine kit has reached thousands of Filipinos, teaching them that with things that can be found in any household, they can cure their ailments affordably. They just have to add clean water.
