The Brief

- Most of blind students didn’t have their yearbooks just because they couldn't see. - Let blind students have their own yearbooks. - Develop a powerful idea to expose the client's business, 3D printing - Make people experience 3D printing technology change our real life better.

Creative Execution

- The invention, Touchable Yearbook, itself is creative. - Showcasing Touchable Yearbook on the graduation day was proven very powerful and highly related to the product. - As people attending saw the yearbook, they could believe the technology could change the world.

Describe the creative solution to the brief/objective.

- We chose Seoul National School for the Blind which is the biggest school for the blind in Korea. - We invented Touchable Yearbook by 3D printing technology reproducing the faces of graduating students. - We showcased the yearbook for the first time on the graduation day which gathered more than 2,000 people. - We gave huge impression not only to students but also to people attending. - Now the students can recall the faces of friends even after graduation as long as they keep the yearbook.

Results

Touchable Yearbook exposed more than 2,000 people on the graduation day. Most of them were related to the blind students and highly interested in Touchable Yearbook and the client. As the students keep the yearbooks, it could be everlasting advertising materials for the clients. We, moreover, expect more schools for the blind participate in publishing Touchable Yearbook afterwords. As the clients provided all facilities such as 3D scanners and 3D printers, we saved a lot of budgets_60% of estimated costs.
