Creative Execution

The Pitch Drop is the world’s longest running lab experiment. In 86 years, no one has seen a drop fall from this solid that behaves like a liquid. But now, the 9th drop is set to go and if you’re logged in to theninthwatch.com when it falls, we’ll add your name to the history books.

Results: On average, watchers have spent 10 hours on the site (clicking every 5 minutes to verify they’re still watching). This adds up to 35 years worth of watching in just 6 months. From the logins, we have a new database to send study info to prospective students and our news ticker has promoted the University’s other achievements to people in 158 countries.

To attract international students to the University of Queensland, we used their most boring experiment.
