The advertising budget was negligible. Hence, using cost extensive traditional media channels to communicate a message wasn’t a possibility. We needed to create a message that would not only entrench the name of the brand in the minds of people but would also help them associate it with the long lasting attribute of the soap.
All soaps become indistinguishable after the first couple of uses, when their names disappear off the surface of the bar. So, how could a new, long lasting soap brand with negligible advertising budget make itself distinct from others in its category?
We decided to use the soap itself as the medium of communication. By altering the filling process, we created branding as long lasting as the soap itself. So SKIN remained distinguishable right till the end, unlike other soaps.
The product design created curiosity and despite being a small hand-made brand, SKIN today has found many distributors.
