India is a busy country. Running helter-skelter is a national sport. We don’t have time for neither friends nor families. And out comes Earth Hour asking us to take time out for the planet. Country Inn, one of the leading hotels of Delhi wanted to pause the busy lives of the citizens, for 60 minutes during the Earth Hour. To raise awareness about the same, Country Inn and Suites, Gurgaon was determined to be a part of the initiative. For the message to create an impact it was necessary that it reached maximum number of people. Hence, we had two options with us. 1) Either we do something in a mass media 2) Do something where there is a ready crowd, which automatically gets on to the mass media platform. A hotel and view of crowded toll seen from Hotel window helped us showcase our idea. An effective visual play if done on the window panes of the hotel rooms will definitely spread the word. We used the room lights of the hotel to produce a series of orchestrated digits. Lights changed every minute of the hour leading upto 08:30pm. And then, the hotel went into complete darkness.
