The Imodium Toilet Tracker App was developed to help the diarrhea sufferer at any point, from the onset of the ailment, to treatment, up to re-purchase. We knew that most consumers always kept their mobile phones close to them, and would use the device to search for information privately about what diarrhea is, its triggers, and how to effectively manage it. With this in mind, we developed The Imodium Toilet Tracker, a complete diarrhea-relief app – the first mobile app of its kind in the Philippines. This app equips sufferers with a powerful tool that provides relevant relief through each step of their diarrhea experience. Understanding the discomfort of a diarrhea sufferer, the Imodium Toilet Tracker accompanies the sufferer from the start of the journey by helping him find not only the nearest but also cleanest bathrooms according to consumer ranking. A user simply needs to type in his location to sort through the listing of public bathrooms in Metro Manila. The app also mobilizes other sufferers to help each other and update the bathroom and pharmacy listings and easily add to the database. The app also provides educational information on how to keep diarrhea at bay and how to manage it when it strikes. To complete the journey, the app houses a drugstore finder that helps locate the nearest pharmacy that carries Imodium, to let the sufferer experience the product’s efficacy. Despite limited resources and support, the app received overwhelming response. 56% of consumers who were exposed to the Toilet Tracker app ads found the app highly relevant, resulting to downloads on their phones. Barely a year in existence, the app’s innovativeness and usefulness has already been recognized in mobile and digital communities.
