For every athletes, time is not just numbers but we can say time represents themselves. To express relationship between athletes and time, we came up with idea using filming technique - time slice. By using this technique, we managed to effectively and beautifully express the relationship. Except ticker-tapes, we used NO CG but shot everything for real using 35 Canon 5D MarkIII cameras.
We shot 2 days at Ski slope (Giant Slalom), 1 days in Studio(Audience, 110m hurdle & referee), and 1.5 days at swimming pool(Butterfly). For each shoot, we needed 1.5 days for pre-light, angle adjustment, lighting&set construction. Because of limited budget, we used 35 Canon 5D mark III cameras and shot most of the shots in movie mode since our subjects are very speedy athletes and could not synchronize timing when still mode. (Timer scene was shot by still mode)
