The film is a modern spectacular and is reminiscent of a music video, inspired by the 1930s films of Busby Berkley, who was renowned for his unique style and ability to turn dancers into ‘human kaleidoscopes’. It celebrates the spirit of modern womanhood with a visual feast of sassy dance moves, female camaraderie, spectacular visuals and edgy styling. Set to the cool soundtrack of ‘Rapture’ by Blondie, the film acts as a metaphor for the Baileys liquid, beginning and ending in the glass and topped off with the line ‘Cream With Spirit’.
50 Professional dancers were cast to represent a truly global pantheon of modern womanhood. The cast then had 5 days to learn the routine in an intensive hothouse with the choreographer. Over 800 meters of silk fabric were used to make all the dresses in just over 2 weeks in 3 countries. It was shot over 3 studios with huge set builds and stunt equipment. Shooting took 5 days – average shoot time was 15 hours per day.
