As a result of China’s remarkable growth, the nation faces the difficult challenges of providing food, energy and protection to a growing population of 1.34 billion people. DuPont has been focused on these challenges for decades and has the expertise and experience to tackle China’s future challenges. But, they cannot take on these challenges alone… In 2013 the Global Forum returned to China for the 4th time. The theme, “China’s New Future.” The Forum represented an unparalleled opportunity for DuPont to build key relationships, position the brand as a collaborative partner and obtain insights necessary to position multinational companies for long-term success, in China and globally. To leverage DuPont’s sponsorship of the Forum, OgilvyEntertainment pioneered a first-if-its-kind collaboration with FORTUNE, designing a multi-platform marketing program. As part of the program, our agency partnered with Time Inc. to create over 18 custom China-centric films highlighting the challenges of food, energy and protection. The film chosen for this entry showcase how DuPont is addressing growing concerns associated with food security in China including agriculture, food nutrition, and food safety. This film premiered on DuPont’s YouTube page as well as a custom hub created specifically for the forum living at DuPont.com/FutureChina.
